Hi! Iā€™m Meri, a costume designer based in Helsinki, Finland. I love the magic of cocreating a dance piece, a theatre performance, or whatever the group sets their mind to do. This collaborative effort is what
I love about this field.

I have both Bachelors and Masters degrees in costume design from Aalto University, from 2022 and 2025 respectively. Finnish is my native tounge, and I am fluent in English.

Artistic accessibility, sustainable work environment and the joy of cocreation are core elements
I do my best to nurture.

my key interests include:

-the haptic experience of costume-

-the horrors and euphoria of excisting (in a body)-

-costuming contemporary dance-

-modifying & upcycling-

-second hand materials-
